Yet those who introduced post structuralism to North America in the late1960’s and then revived it in the early 2000’s hoped the theory would assist them in constructing and perpetuating a highly structured global government in what they thought was in need of codification. When those one-world intellectuals and academics who were promoting post structural theory, discovered that post structuralism precluded codification, they turned off their hard-sell of tearing down structures worldwide through post-structuralism.
Besides, they were simply creating gigantic, redundant structure. So many who were seeking a cure-all for all the the world’s ills (which does not exist and is probably best left at a regional level because of logistical problems) fell into lock step with the heavily not diversified world-dominator wanna-bes.
Post-structuralism is a wonderful guide for developing new ideas and ways of doing things but it is not a codifying weapon. Thus, it was eventually de-emphasized. Yet, post-structuralism played such a large role in the development of thought in the early millennium. For me, that means it is a valuable guidepost, an inspiration for my literary, and other, endeavors. I see post-structuralism’s influence continuing. Structures always require monitoring.
